Because there are several trades in ITI and every course has different-different duration and admission eligibility. Like some courses are 6 month and some are 1 year and also some are 2 years. In present time there are 12,000 and Above ITI institute in country. But 2400 institute are under central and state government and rest 9600 are private sector they are authorized by DGT (Directorate General of Training).
If you want to get admission in ITI government institute then before admission you would be gave endurance exam then you can get admission. But if you want to get admission in private ITI institute then you can get direct admission.
You can apply for admission through your state's ITI Official website. Because ITI entrance examination is held on April. but some ITI Entrance has Held on August so you can regularly check ITI official website and check the notification in April month.
